Foundation for Families
Since our founding in 1999, Ravens Roost 50 has endeavored to set themselves apart from other fan-based organizations. We wanted to be known not only for our support of the Baltimore Ravens, but also for our charitable work within our community.
In 2003, we registered as a 501(c)(3) organization which was named 'Ravens Roost 50 Foundation for Families Inc.'
- Through this foundation, so far we have donated over $1,000,000 to our core charities, which include:
- St. Vincent's Villa Children's Center in Timonium, which is a residential treatment center. They provide comprehensive therapeutic services to children ages 5-15.
- McVet The Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training is a nonprofit organization that treats veterans with homelessness and substance abuse, located in Baltimore, Maryland www.mcvet.org
- VFW Post 6506 The Rosedale VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) is also the meeting place for Ravens Roost 50 Facebook Page
- Camp Sunrise is a week-long summer camp in Crownsville, Maryland, for children who have been diagnosed with or have survived cancer. Camp Sunrise is sponsored by the John Hopkins Children’s Center. Web Page
- Special Olympics - Ravens Roost 50, along with other Council of Roosts organizations from around the state participate in the Maryland Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge held at Sandy Point State Park. Plunge MD
- Feed the community - The week prior to Thanksgiving, we spend the day bagging and delivering a full Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds of families in the surrounding neighborhoods.

In 2014 we hosted our first concert in conjunction with the band Several Species, the money is earmarked for the Fisher House. The Fisher House provides housing for families of soldiers recovering at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
